Treatment for Daminka Soboleva

About this project
Daminika Soboleva
Daminika is a cheerful little girl who was two at the time of our involvement in early 2015. At that time, our foundation was raising money for Lenya Gurtovoy, a 6-year old boy from Vladivostok who was suffering from leukaemia and required urgent bone marrow transplantation. Then came the terribly sad new that during the period of targeted fundraising organised by the Little Cloud Foundation, Lenya passed away from cardiac arrest.
After that, upon obtaining written consent from the people who donated funds for Lenya’s treatment, part of the sum was transferred to Daminika Soboleva from Kaliningrad. Daminika suffers from epilepsy and presents with a cluster of neurological disorders, requiring complex medical intervention. The A$1,427 transferred by our organisation contributed towards the cost of Daminika’s assessment and treatment at the Teknon Medical Centre in Spain.

A few weeks ago, we have received a message form Daminika’s mother with wonderful news. Following the treatment in Spain, Daminika has made huge developmental progress. She is no longer suffering from epileptic seizures! Daminika is trying to crawl and has recently sat up without support. We are so excited for the little girl and her supportive family!
